Pastor Butler’s Update
for April 2, 2020

Brethren,

Greetings in the Lord Jesus.

Since the BC Provincial Health Officer’s order that groups of that less than 50 persons are allowed to meet remains in place, we will proceed this Sunday as we did last week.

Thankfully, our building is large enough so that 50 or less can easily practice social distancing, which means

  • no hand shaking
  • no hugging
  • no physical contact of any sort, and
  • maintaining a distance of 4-6 feet away from one another.

There will be no prayer meeting at 9:30a.m., but our morning service (11:00a.m.) and evening service (5:00p.m.) will continue as normal. There will be no Wednesday evening Bible Study this coming week either.

Sunday’s morning and evening Worship will continue to be live-streamed, so please avail yourself of this service.

The purpose of this plan is not to command anyone to attend services or do anything which would violate your own conscience or your own health protection plan.

It is simply to say that during this crisis I will continue to preach on Sundays as normal and, as long as we do not exceed 50 people, you are welcome to attend.

If you are in a high risk category or are showing symptoms of sickness, please do not attend. If you do not wish to attend for any other reason, please do not attend.

May the Lord continue to watch over FGBC, physically and spiritually, and may we continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In Christ,

Pastor Jim Butler
