In our Saturday morning theology class, we have completed our studies in The Mystery of Christ, His Covenant, and His Kingdom by Dr. Samuel D. Renihan within our theology class held every second Saturday morning at 6:30.
Dr. Renihan begins chapter 14 of his book with the following statement about the thematic connection between Genesis and Revelation regarding the kingdom of Christ:
“The kingdom that Adam should have built, but failed to build, and the kingdom that Israel was designed to prefigure and prepare, that kingdom was the Kingdom of Heaven, the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom of Christ. The protology of the creation kingdom and the typology of the Israelite kingdom are fulfilled in the eschatology of the Christ’s kingdom. The kingdom of Christ is the unveiled end-times final plan of God, the eternal resurrected-life kingdom of the Son of God. It is the kingdom of the Son who fulfilled the Covenant of Redemption and covenants His kingdom to His people through the New Covenant.”
The author joined us on May 14th, 2022 to introduce the book and answer questions (recording link).
