We are pleased to announce that Free Grace Baptist Church, along with five other Reformed Baptist churches across Western Canada, has joined together to form the Association of Reformed Baptist Churches of Western Canada (ARBCWC). This historic partnership, established in November 2024, represents a significant step forward in promoting unity and cooperation among confessional Reformed Baptist churches in our region (Acts 15:1-35).
Our Purpose and Vision
The ARBCWC unites churches that share a commitment to the Second London Confession of Faith of 1689 and the proclamation of Christ’s gospel across Western Canada. Our partnership currently extends from British Columbia through Alberta to Saskatchewan, bringing together congregations dedicated to sound doctrine and faithful ministry (Jude 3).
The formation of this association serves several vital purposes. First and foremost, it strengthens our collective witness to the truths of God’s Word and the Reformed Baptist heritage. Through the ARBCWC, member churches will support one another in church planting initiatives, financial support, pulpit supply, counsel in difficult situations (2LCF 26.15) , and the maintenance of doctrinal accountability (2 Tim. 1:13-14).
Fellowship and Support
We are particularly excited about the opportunities this association creates for mutual encouragement and practical support among our churches (1 Thess. 4:9-10). As members of the ARBCWC, we will benefit from shared resources, collaborative ministry efforts, and regular fellowship with like-minded believers across Western Canada (2 Cor. 8:1-5).
Member Churches
Our sister churches in the association include Surrey Reformed Baptist Church (Surrey, British Columbia), Trinity Reformed Baptist Church (Armstrong, British Columbia), Grace Family Reformed Baptist Church (Medicine Hat, Alberta), Grace Fellowship Church (Ponoka, Alberta), and Grace Reformed Baptist Church (Regina, Saskatchewan). Each of these congregations shares our commitment to the Five Solas of the Reformation and the Second London Confession of Faith (Gal. 2:1-10).
Upcoming Conference
We’re also excited to announce that Free Grace Baptist Church will be hosting the 2nd annual Confessing the Faith Conference at the Free Reformed Church on April 25-26, 2025. The theme this year is on Chapter 2 of the Confession: “Of God and the Holy Trinity.” This conference provides an excellent opportunity for pastors and members of association churches to enjoy fellowship together, while also welcoming anyone interested in learning more about the historical Reformed confessions and Particular Baptist distinctives. The event will feature respected speakers including Dr. James Dolezal, Dr. Samuel Renihan, and pastor Jim Butler from Free Grace Baptist Church in Chilliwack.
